What I Do:
I work as a pluralistic counsellor, which means that I recognise that each client is a unique individual, and I therefore don't believe that one therapeutic model can be applied equally to all clients - so, no 'one size fits all'.
I shall try, to the best of my ability, to tailor each counselling session after your needs, wishes, beliefs, values and experiences. It's my intention to base this on a shared understanding of what counselling is, and what counselling can offer. These topics are explored further in the various section on this website, such as my blog and the FAQ page - please, see menu for more in-depth information.
I work with each individual to formulate a counselling plan, unique to you, focusing on your goals for counselling and in your life, encouraging active commitment to the change you wish to see/achieve, based on your values, beliefs and experiences.
I believe in making it a safe journey for you in a space promoting respect, empathy and compassion.
Even if you're not looking for counselling, this website should hopefully offer some help and guidance around mental health issues, counselling as a concept, emergency contact details and my own contact details if you wish to make an appointment.
Please, also note the blog section, which will address different emotional wellbeing issues (continuously updated).
